About Us

We are an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit civil society organisation, campaigning for public awareness and democratic participation in the governance of genetic technology.

What we do

Genetic technology has huge potential, but comes with considerable risks. Our campaign work is motivated by the belief that the public should have their say in whether, and how, we chose to use these technologies. Our work has featured in the print edition of The Guardian and The Observer, as well as The Guardian online, Newsweek and The New Scientist. We also lobby governments at the highest level.
